I’m Jamaica Bryant, your wine guide. I am a wine educator who believes learning about wine should be active and fun, never pretentious or intimidating. I want to help you figure out what YOU like to drink. I teach all about wine, from the basics of how to open a bottle and read a wine list, to comparing wines across grapes, regions, and countries.
I am based in Pasadena, CA, and originally hail from Baltimore, MD and Berkeley, CA. I study wine through the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, where I have earned my Level 2 Certification with Distinction.
I hold a B.A. from Stanford University and an MBA from The University of Virginia Darden School of Business. When I’m not getting prepped for WineKnow parties, I’m spending time with my young son, as well as working as the Director of Content & Community at Codesmith, a coding school with the aim to democratize higher education.
